Nice guy but my trigger finger release has left me less than I was. Constantly in pain and limited mobility in said finger. Wish I had not done it, or at least with him. Had to quit my job. I’m a dentist!!!!!!

I wrote a review a few weeks ago in which I was dissatisfied with the care that I received after surgery with Dr. Mazur. I was angry and frustrated with what I perceived as inadequate communication and insufficient assistance with pain management. Subsequently I have had the opportunity to speak directly with Dr Mazur and his physician's assistant Ed. We had a respectful and thoughtful conversation about my concerns. I could see that both professionals wanted my recovery to go smoothly and with the least amount of discomfort as possible. I was impressed with Dr. Mazur's concern about patient health and safety around pain management and with Ed's willingness to work with me as a patient. In this day of voice messages and overloaded schedules, it is easy for miscommunication to occur. I think that was the root of the initial problem. I have now learned, as a patient, that there are a few more specific questions that I need to ask prior to any future surgical procedure. Unfortunately for me, this was the fourth surgery that I have had with Dr Mazur. On the flip side, I know I am lucky to receive care from him. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and is willing and able to answer my questions regarding my own care. For my part, I need to ask all the right questions. I am grateful, as well, for Ed and Jennifer, the physician's assistants with whom I have worked during this most recent surgery. Again, they are knowledgeable and eager to answer my questions. Frankly, I hope I never have to see them professionally again but , should the need arise, I will gladly return to their care.
