SRO PAs are also board certified and licensed to provide medical and surgical care as an integral part of the orthopedic surgical team. Our PAs are involved in all aspects of perioperative inpatient and outpatient management, acting on behalf of and within the supervision of their attending physician, and scope of their practice and licensure. The scope of their work may involve assisting in the operating room, performing joint injections, interpreting X-rays and evaluating and treating orthopaedic problems in the orthopaedic clinic.
Jennifer Henshaw-Lefever, OTR/L, CHT, PA
Jennifer Henshaw-Lefever is a licensed Occupational Therapist and nationally certified Hand Therapist. She earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State in 1982, was elected to the American Society of Hand Therapists in 1986 and became Nationally certified as a Hand Therapist in 1991. She has worked in Hand Therapy in clinics in San Jose, Santa Rosa and Sonoma. She graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Stanford Medical Centre and was licensed and Certified as a Physician Assistant in 1994, and worked in that capacity in family practice before returning to Hand Therapy in 1999. She joined Santa Rosa orthopaedics in November 2005.
Jennifer has broad experience in Hand Therapy with strong evaluation and treatment skills enhanced by her training as a Physician Assistant. She enjoys the proximity, communication and collaboration with the Physicians at SRO and finds it the ideal environment for providing effective care for the patients. She works as a PA for Dr. Mazur.
When not pursuing her Hand Therapy career, Jennifer enjoys learning about gardening, being a home improvement DIY’er, furniture refinishing and going on field trips with her son.
Rodney DeKleuver, PA
Rodney Gerrit DeKleuver is a certified NCCPA Physician Assistant licensed by the State of California. Rodney graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston Massachusetts with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2018. Furthermore, he received his Bachelor of Science degree and Minor in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2014.
Before attending college and right out of high school, Rodney served in the United States Navy as a Navy Corpsman from 2003 – 2008. Stationed with 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, he served as platoon Corpsman for two deployments and a battalion aid station Corpsman for his third and final deployment in Iraq.
Rodney DeKleuver has a fondness for the liberal arts, natural world, and physical fitness. He works as a Physician Assistant for SRO’s, Dr. Gary Stein.
